Renovo Financial was born in 2011 over a cup of coffee at a Starbucks on Sheffield and Armitage in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. It was there that Co-Founders Kevin Werner and Daniel Rosen sat down with a shared vision: to build a different kind of real estate investment company—one rooted in partnership, not just transactions.

With early backing from private equity firm Granite Creek Capital Partners, Renovo was launched with a clear mission and a commitment to service. What followed was slow, deliberate growth. They started lending locally in Chicago, building a team of sharp, driven lenders who shared their vision and values.

For the first several years, Chicago was their sole focus. But word spread—and results followed. What began with two founders and a few loans has grown into a national platform. Today, Renovo has boots on the ground in more than 30 major markets, from San Diego to Boston, with local experts delivering the same relationship-driven service that started it all.
