Understand the financing. This may seem cliché coming from a lender, but every deal starts and ends with financing. The better an investor understands financing the more tools that are available to create sucessful deals.

Trusting numbers on a deal without verifying themself. A lot of people get paid as a part of an real estate investment project, the investor takes the risk and gets paid last, not taking the time to fully understand the numbers on a deal can leave the investor in a difficult position.

Personally, I am motivated by family, my wife and three children. I am focused on providing opportunities and creating experiences that were not available to me. Professionally, I am motivated by providing as much value as possible to help clients achieve their goals in real estate investing and beyond. Watching a clients journey through quitting a full time job, creating wealth or building a rental portfolio is a very rewarding experience.

Born in Morris, Minnesota and have lived in the Denver area for more than 30 years. I began my lending career with a local hard money lender in 2009 where I spent 12 years helping clients get deals structured and financed, from single family flips and ground up construction to value add commercial deals.

With a young famliy we do all we can to enjoy the outdoors, hiking, skiiing, golf and weekends full of kids activities. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places, the beach is always calling.

I actively invest in real estate and have been involved in all sides of the business.
